About Us

Dr. Chad A. Stahl and the Food Animal Consultation and Testing Services (F.A.C.T.S.) have the interest of the livestock producer at heart. Through the use of sound science and animal husbandry practices, F.A.C.T.S. can help you to improve your 1) selective breeding and nutritional programs, 2) on-farm environmental conditions, 3) biosecurity, 4) animal welfare and handling techniques, 5) carcass yield, and 6) meat quality, ultimately providing an increased profit potential for you the producer.

As a youth, Chad worked on a productive farrow to finish swine farm before leaving for Purdue University to obtain a degree in Animal Sciences. Following graduation, Chad left his home state of Indiana in pursuit of his doctorate in Meat Science and Muscle Biology from the University of Missouri. Jody, Chad’s wife, was raised on a purebred Shorthorn operation known as Allison Homeplace Farms. There, she and her family produced purebred animals recognized throughout the United States by both the seedstock and showstock industries, respectively.

We as a family place the sustentation of the American farmer first and foremost, while focusing upon the advancement of the economic productivity of those who hope to continue the progression of production agriculture. Our mission is to help this generation of livestock producers to feel confident that they can continue to survive and thrive in this business.
And above all, to help current producers understand that through diversification and continuing education, they can once again advise the next generation of farmers to continue this ever important service to society.
